Three Yards From Baghdad's Green Zone At 10 a.m., a convoy of 13 official sport utility vehicles sealed off the main roads, and screeched into the Baghdad market. The shocked crowd of shoppers and businessmen went into a panic, and hid behind buildings and in shops. The uniformed men started firing weapons in the air, herding people into trucks, and in 15 minutes seventy five people were gone. A few hours later twenty two were released, when the gunman confirmed through their identity cards they were Shiites.
