Election 2008 – Racism and Bigotry at its best


“We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, thay among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” – US Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776.
However, the above lofty ideals could not stop the European Judeo-Christian invaders from commiting the Holocaust of 15 million Native non-White Americans.
Racism based on color and ethnic background and bigotry based on religious beliefs – have always been part of American and their British ancestors\’ culture. It’s documented that Christian missionaries accompanying the European colonial army – used to give a few hours’ notice to their Native victims – to convert to Christianity or face an instant death. Then came the centuries of Black slavery. However, American public and the world at large – has never seen the naked face of America’s inborn racism and bigotry – as displayed right now for the November 4, 2008 presidential election.
Among the two main contestants – John McCain is a White Christian born in the US – while his opponent, Barack Obama is a Black Christian born outside the US. However, the ‘problem’ with Obama is not that he is a foreign-born Black – but worse – his father happened to be a Muslim from Kenya and carries a Muslim middle name.
Former Editor of Canadian daily The Toronto Star, Haroon Siddiqui, in his November 2 column has exposed the American racism and bigotry.
“Had Obama been White and not had a half Muslim heritage, his journey would surely have been smoother and he would by now be looking at a landslide.”
“While both Sarah Palin and Hilary Clinton claimed to have suffered sexism, he (Obama) has clearly been the greater victim of racism as well as religious bigotry.”
“Both John McCain and Barack Obama have stayed away from Muslims. They campaigned in churches and Synagogues, but not mosques. Two Hijabi girls at an Obama eally in Detroit were escorted out of camera range.”
Obama in order not to rub the the noses of ‘Islamophobic’ pro-Israeli groups – has been claiming that his father was not a practicing Muslim and that he himself has always been a practicing Christian.
