Islam and Slavery

Slavery, like many other things, the Ziofacists and Islamophobes bigots like to degrade and insult Islam – such as adultery (Genesis 38:8-10; 38:16; 38:26; 38:29-30; Matthew 1:1-3; 35:22; 38:15-30 – 2 Samuels 13:5 – Ezekiel 16:23-34; Matthew 1:18-20; 2 Samuels 13:10-14, and so on) – genital mutilation of both sexes (remember Timothy, though child of a Jewish mother, was uncircumcised, and St. Paul to make his buddy look more ‘kosher’ got him circumcized – Act 16:3) – alcohol (Proverbs 31:6-7 and I Timothy 5:23) – racism (Matthew 10:5-6 and Matthew 15:24-26) – cursing Jews (Deuteronomy 9:24; 31:27; 28:68, Hosea 8:13; John 8:44, and so on) – polygamy (according to i Kings 11:3 – Prophet Solomon had 700 wives, and 300 concubines) – slavery (Leviticus 25:46), etc. etc., – existed before the dawn of Islam in 620 CE. Almost all of those things plus many more, such as Usury, sex-slavery, prostitution, polygamy, hatred toward female gender, and racism – is still practiced more among the non-Muslim societies than the Muslim societies. According to Amnesty International yearly reports – more than 50,000 women are added annually into American prostitute industery and 5,000 White Christian women are sold annually to Jews for sex-slavery in Israel. Hindu writer, Gita Aravamudan, in her book Disappearing Daughters, says that 7,000 baby girls are killed through abortion each day in India.
History is witness that while the Judeo-Christian societies exploited slavery for forced labour and sexual abuses – Some of the slaves became great Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and many Caliphs, Kings and Imams of Shia ‘School of Thought’ were born to former slave ladies.
Islam forbidded adultry, Usury, prostitution, killing of unborn or born daughters, pork consumption, racism of all kind (colour, ethnic, country or religion), pornography, alcohol, killing of non-combatant enemies, etc. – however, Islam allowed controlled slavery and polygamy. Holy Qur’an warns the Believers of great punishment in life after death for those who mis-use slavery and polygamy. The rewards offered by Islam for freeing a slave were so great that within 100 year of dawn of Islam – slavery was totally eradicated from the world of Islam.
Holy Qur’an in Verse 24:33 – commanded the Believers to help slaves getting their freedom. Thus, about 1400 year ago, Islam dealt in the most effective way a death blow to slavery, which has not been achieved by by the former Afro-Americans slaves in United States – as A.J. Toynbee (in ‘Mankind and Mother Earth’, 1976) wrote: “The Blacks in the United States who were emancipated jurisdically in 1862 are, with good reason, feeling now, more than a century later, that they’re still being denied full human rights by the White majority of their fellow citizens.”
Islam, not only freed slaves but restored dignity and social status – by demanding no distinction between a former slave and a born free person. Islamic history is full of former slaves, who rose to such a high position that people started envying them – from Bilal Habbashi; Salman Farsi; Ammar bin Yasir; John bin Huwai to Khalifahs who were born to slave mothers, such as Ma’mun al-Rashid, Wathiq Billah, Nasir Dinillah to name a few.
Comparatively – The history of Judeo-Christian world is full horrific record of both the State and Chuch collaboration in labour and sex related slavery. Walter White Jr. wrote in 1968 in Who Brought The Slaves To America? - that mostly the slave trade was conducted by the Jews.
The first Muslim Dynasty in Hindustan (India) was established by former slaves – known as Slave Dynasty, which ruled from 1206-1290 CE.
“In 1892 CE, 27 Galician Jews were tried for exporting White slave girls to Constantinople (Ottomon Empire). Two major centers of sex slave exporting were the industrial towns of Czernowitz and Lemberg. A major trick to lure young Jewish girls for sex slavery was Jewish ceremony known as “Stillah Chuppah”. This included a religious wedding ceremony which had no civil validity. Thus, the soon to be abducted female would be misled into believing that she was married with the right of a wife only to discover later that her legal rights were nil. Jewesses found themselves tossed into brothels by this device……. By the 1860s a French visitor to Odessa wrote that Jews there were responsible for White slavery market in Russian women to Turkey…..In 1889 census shows that Jewish women ran 30 of 36 licensed brothels in Kherson province…..” – Edward J.
