Israelis Shoot Nobel Peace Prize Winner
Mairead Corrigan was shot during confrontations between Jewish
soldiers and activists protesting the security fence route near Bilin.
Corrigan, who won the prize in 1976 was shot after collapsing from
teargas.

The women were protesting about Israelis grabbing Palestinian
farmer's land.
"I salute the residents of Bilin for their peaceful struggle in a
region that is so violent and I call on the Israeli public, whom I

Mairead Corrigan and Tito Kayak said it was a peaceful protest. The
soldiers showed up and beat the protestors, gassed us, and then opened
fire.
