Truck bomb kills at least 72 in northern Iraq
BAGHDAD – A truck bomb exploded near a Shiite mosque in northern Iraq
following prayers, killing at least 72 people and wounding nearly 200,
police said, making it the deadliest blast in nearly two months.
Worshippers were leaving the mosque in Taza, 10 miles (20 kilometers)
south of Kirkuk, following noon prayers when the truck exploded,
according to police Brig. Gen. Sarhat Qader.
Muslim families exit a small mosque in a remote town called Taza,
and Israeli agents set off a massive truck bomb. Half the village of
mud buildings is lebveled and so far the locals have dug out 55 dead,
and 160 maimed.

not decided yet if it was a suicide bomber or a parked truck," he
said.
