USrael’s Third Humiliation

“Israel has failed in its Second Lebanon War against Lebanon in 2006 and could fail in the third because it fought the wrong enemy. It fought Hizb’Allah instead of State of Lebanon. No victory could be achieved against an organization active under the shadow of a state immunized against an Israeli military reaction……Just as the Israeli Army is improving, Hizb’Allah is improving too,” – Giora Eiland, former head of Israeli National Security Council, reported by daily Ha’aretz.
“Israel had lost to a very small group of people, 5,000 Hizb’Allah fighter (the independent sources put that figure to be between 1000 to 1500), which should have been no match at all to IDF. This has some very fateful consequences for the future,” – Moshe Aren, former Defense Minister, September 12, 2006.
“There is nothing that can be solved just by military. There is a need for a diplomatic solution. I do not believe anyone wants to go back into Lebanon,” – Maj. Gen. Udi Adam, Chief of the Northern Command, The Jerusalem Post, July 21, 2006.
“Israel has lost the war,” – IIan Harar, IDFs chief education officer, before sumitting his resignation.
USrael and its European allies are threatening devastating military actions not only against Hizb’Allah, but against its supporter Iran too. Zionist Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, has threatened Lebanon that the he would use eight army divisions (I don’t know whether that would be more than 30,000 Zionist soldiers fought 34-day attack in 2006!). Later in an interview with daily Ha’aretz, French Zionist Jewish Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, said – “Israel will eat Iran before it gets bomb.”
During the 34-day ‘July War’ with Lebanese Islamic Resistance group, Hizb’Allah (July 12, 2006) – Israeli military and economic losses were far more than all earlier wars with its Arab neighbours. Though Israel official admitted death of its 137 soldiers against 43 of Hizb’Allah fighters – an independent source put the figure at 2300. According to British daily, Guardian (August 15, 2006), the war cost Israel US$5.3 billion. The Israeli military hardware losses included, one naval ship crippled, a commercial freighter sanked, 38 Merkava tanks destroyed plus 82 damaged, two F15 shot-down, and tens of thousands rounds of ammunition captured. The war also displaced 300,000-500,000 Jewish settlers, who fled to interior of Israel for safety.
Before the war, Israeli sources estimated Hizb’allah had 13,000 Katyusha rockets – now they say Hizb’Allah has 40,000 of them.
While the Israeli humiliation made Hizb’Allah’s leader, Sheikh Nasrallah, the most popular Arab leader – it forced Israeli Chief of Staff, Gen. Dan Halutz and several senior millitary official to resigned. There were mass protests in Israel demanding the resignation of Zionist Prime Minister, Olmert.
Zionist entity’s first humiliation came when Israel Occupation Force (IOF) was forced to withdraw from most of Southern Lebanon in 2000.
Jonathan Cook wrote an article on Israeli War Crimes, published on August 17, 2006.
