B'Nai Brith's Bill Surkis: 45 Days for Child Porn
by ARTHUR TOPHAM
(December 18, 2012)...B'nai Brith's touted moral superiority and
unblemished integrity suffered a serious blow when one of their former
Canadian directors of B'nai Brith Quebec, Bill Surkis, was arrested and
charged on May 29, 2009 with possession of 86 videos containing close to
nine hours of footage showing men engaged in sexual abuse of under
children between the ages of six and fourteen. On top of the videos were
an additional 153 photos also showing children being abused. To add insult to injury Surkis's lawyer Steven Slimovich (no pun intended!) at first attempted to convince the Crown that his client had all this porn on his computer for "The purpose of his viewing the child pornography material [in order] to educate himself on the topic of child pornography" so that afterwards he would be able to "go into schools and give lectures on people abusing people."!
That, I suggest, is the sort of chutzpah one continually confronts whenever this touted "benevolent' front organization gets caught with its pants down.
