the inherent racism and inequality that is ever present in the lives of every Palestinian in the West Bank – who are forced to watch the uninhibited growth of settlements while being unable to build or expand themselves – and the Gaza Strip – who are collectively punished for the sins of Hamas and denied the most basic of goods. In the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Israel rules with an iron fist of racism, where Palestinian lives are meaningless, human dignity does not exist and every law, decision and policy is based on a carefully planned foundation of separation, inequality and dispossession. If Zionists don’t recognize it soon, there will be one state called Palestine. Pretty soon Jews will become a minority in Palestine that is not including Palestinian refugees in neighboring countries and around the world.
The only sustainable solution is one where Jews and Palestinians live as equals on all of historic Palestine. If Jews want a Jewish state, then a sort of a federal arrangement could be made to include a two national states one Jewish state and one Palestinian state. The federation has sovereignty over the whole land with equal rights and freedom of movement for Jews and Palestinians residing all over the world. Each of the national states would have sovereignty over its people only.
The two state solution based on 1967 war borders is not a just solution and if it’s accepted under a major imbalance of power, won’t survive for long before another war starts. Palestinian refugees won’t accept the right for a Russian Jew to their land only because of a connection that existed prior to thousands of years ago while their rights are denied despite direct connection and deeds to their land and homes.
The Israelis have been using every possible tool to have Palestinians somehow vanish like the native Indians in the US. The Israelis think they can keep negotiating indefinitely until there is no land left to negotiate about. The fact is the Palestinians short of a massacre won’t leave their land and will be the majority in short order, if not already. If Israel doesn’t recognize it and opt for a sustainable one state solution pretty soon, at the end I’m afraid there will be one state also, but without them.
